The role
You'll lead the design and delivery of modern data platforms centred on Snowflake, turning complex business data into fast, cost-efficient analytics environments. It's a hands-on, client-facing role where you'll work closely with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to solve difficult data challenges.

The role
You'll lead the design and delivery of modern data platforms centred on Snowflake, turning complex business data into fast, cost-efficient analytics environments. It's a hands-on, client-facing role where you'll work closely with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to solve difficult data challenges.
What you'll be doing
- Architecting, building and optimising Snowflake-centred data platforms
- Designing scalable data models across dimensional, Data Vault and normalised approaches, including semantic layers for analytics
- Implementing data sharing, real-time analytics and the latest Snowflake capabilities
- Optimising performance, warehouse sizing and cost across large-scale client environments
- Setting up strong governance and security, including RBAC and row/column-level security
- Advising clients on technical direction and helping them make sound platform decisions
- Strong, hands-on commercial Snowflake experience
- A track record of shipping data solutions into production
- Advanced SQL, plus at least one of Python, Scala or Java
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation tooling, and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran or Matillion
- Working knowledge of at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Good instincts for cost and performance
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- SnowPro certification
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD experience
- Exposure to Iceberg, Databricks, Starburst or Schema Registry
- Previous consultancy or multi-client delivery experience
